The Tool Tab is a collection of free, simple online tools for everyday tasks. Word counting, age calculation, JSON formatting, password generation, Base64 encoding — and more. No sign-up required. No data stored. Everything runs in your browser.

Why I Built This

I got tired of hunting for the right tool every time I needed to count words, format JSON, or generate a password. Most tool sites are cluttered with ads, paywalls, or slow load times. I wanted something fast, clean, and free.

How It Works

All the tools run entirely in your browser. When you paste text, enter a date, or generate a password, that data is processed locally on your device. Nothing is sent to the server. I don't store what you type. That means your data stays private and the tools work even if you're offline (after the page loads).

Tools

The Tool Tab focuses on utility tools that people actually use: text tools (word counter, title case converter, line break removal), developer tools (UUID generator, JSON formatter, Base64 encoder, password generator), and calculators (age calculator with zodiac and birthstone). I add new tools regularly based on what people need.

Supporting the Site

The Tool Tab is free to use. I support the site through advertising (Google AdSense). If you find our tools helpful, the best way to support us is to use them, share them, and whitelist The Tool Tab if you use an ad blocker.
